Publication on Spine MRI

Cartilaginous endplates form an interface between intervertebral discs and vertebral body of the spine, and serves important functions for proper nutrition and biomechanical stability of the spine. This important tissue was previously not observable using traditional MR techniques. Evaluation of cartilagious endplates may one day help to better assess conditions related to low back pain.
