Mr. Walpole's MRI research imaging projects include, Alzheimer’s, brain aging, HIV for UCSD HNRC.  Recent imaging projects such as CHARTER, TMARC, TBI, Heart/Kidney COMBINE, PTSD and Alcohol abuse.  Animal MRI imaging for San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park and 3D imaging for the Digital Fish Library (www.digitalfishlibrary.org)

Dexter Walpole is a Senior MRI Technologist at Center for Translational Imaging and Precision Medicine (CTIPM), UCSD.  He was previously Chief MRI Technologist for 20 years at Veterans Healthcare System, VAMC, San Diego.  He was also in the US Navy as a Navy Hospital Corpsman over 22 years. He has credentials including: 
- Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, ARRT, 
- Registered Radiologic Technologist, American Registry of Radiological Technologists
- Registered Radiologic Technologist, California State Registry Radiological Technologists
- Member, American Society of Radiologic Technologists
